The German company, Mercedes lived up to its promise to launch 15 models in the year 2015. The final of the lot is the new A-Class launched today at Rs 24.95 lakhs. It is the face lift version of its A-Class model range in petrol and diesel variants. The A180 and A200 D models costs Rs 24.95 lakh and 25.95 lakh respectively (ex-showroom Mumbai).

The A-Class is now further emphasized with a sporty-dynamic orientation. The new-generation A-Class looks wider due to the tailpipe trim integrated into the bumper. It is equipped with a Leather wrapped multifunction steering wheel featuring a 3-spoke design with 12 function buttons as well as a shift lever in leather.
The company has also included Panoramic Sliding Sunroof for air ventilation, the angle of tilt to automatically adjust to suit the current vehicle speed.
In terms of safety, safety, the A-Class has ESP, ASR (Acceleration Skid Control), ABS, Brake Assist System, Attention Assist, Hill Start Assist, Adaptive Brake Lights Flashing and six airbags.
The A-Class features an efficient 1.6 litre 4 cylinder petrol engine which produces 90kW (122hp) of power at @5000 rpm and 200 Nm of torque @ 1250-4000 rpm. The 2.2 litre
4-cylinder diesel mill produces a power of 100kW (136hp) @3200-4000 rpm and 300Nm of torque @1400-3000 rpm. The performance of the new A-Class exhilarates with a top speed of 210 km/h for the A 200 CDI and a sprint time from rest to 100 km/h of 8.6 seconds for the A 180. It also features four driving modes– Comfort, Sport, Eco and Individual.
