Reigning Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton was denied entry at the Royal Box during Wimbledon Men's Final for lack of dress code. He had turned up for the major event in a bright floral shirt and a hat.
Guests who are invited at the Royal Box area are required to wear Suits or jackets and a tie.
His spokesperson said: "Due to a misunderstanding over dress code, he is disappointed to have missed the final."
Lewis Hamilton had earlier posted on his Instagram account: "On my way to Wimbledon to watch the final. Honoured to have been invited to watch the men's finals from the Royal Box!"
If he came without a jacket, tie or shoes he would have had two choices – not staying or going to get some extra stuff: Spokesman for the All England Club said.
Novak Djokovic beat Roger Federer in four sets to win Sunday's Wimbledon title.
